Ulaanbaatar to Clear Around 600 Land Plots in Dambadarjaa in 2026

Ulaanbaatar, December 8, 2025 /MONTSAME/. This year, Ulaanbaatar has cleared 3,933 land plots as part of infrastructure and redevelopment projects, and the work will continue in 2026.
The Governor of the Capital City and the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar Nyambaatar Khishgee said, “As of this year, 3,933 land plots have been cleared to support ger area redevelopment and the construction of engineering and social infrastructure. This has enabled the development of roads, utility networks, substations, flood-protection structures, schools, kindergartens, parking areas, and housing for 11,500 families.”
Next year, approximately 600 plots will be cleared in Dambadarjaa, Sukhbaatar District. Additional clearance work is planned near the 5th and 6th bus stops of Chingeltei District’s 14th khoroo, in the Gandan area, the slope behind the “Urgoo” cinema, in khoroos 4, 5, and 8 of Songinokhairkhan District, around Tsaiz 16 in Bayanzurkh District, and near the 34th School of General Education in Khan-Uul District.
According to the Governor’s Office of the Capital City of Ulaanbaatar, under
a decree issued by the Mayor, fences, garages, and outdoor retail kiosks have
been removed from public spaces to improve residents’ safety and expand public
areas, while increasing green spaces in cleared locations.
