Italian designer conducts training to Mongolian manufacturers

/MONTSAME/ One of Italian famous designers Ivano Philippine conducted an
online training to Mongolian leather goods manufacturers. Instructors and
designers of over 20 companies, “Urlakh Erdem” Fashion Design Institute and Mongolian State University of Art and
Culture were involved in the training
that took place within the European Union funded project “Trade Related
Assistance for Mongolia” (EU-TRAM) being implemented by the Mongolian National
Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Designer Ivano Philippine has made an assessment and conclusion on leather processing, design and development of products after receiving leather goods, such as bag and wallet sent from Mongolian manufacturers ahead of the training. And she noted that Mongolian goods made from animal-origin raw materials and leather have good quality, nevertheless, it has a lack of processing in addition to having heavy weight and strong smell. Ms. Ivano Philippine also gave a training on affordable technologies to easily tackle chemical processing and its adverse affect on leather materials.
The EU-TRAM project supports export of non-mining products. In particular, the project team is working to establish cluster of organic beauty products, leather and skin, camel and yak wool and providing support to export them.
