Spring sowing running nationwide

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. As of June 2, sowing has been
made to 363.4 thousand hectares nationwide, of which grain in 321 thousand
hectares (wheat in 313.3 thousand hectares), potatoes in 13 thousand hectares,
vegetables in 5.2 thousand hectares, fodder plants in 7.7 thousand hectares,
and oil plants in 16.39 thousand hectares. It means the grain sowing running at
83.6 percent (wheat—87.8), potato- 87.4 percent, vegetables – 56.7 percent,
fodder plants – 20.1 percent, and oil plants -39.5 percent.
This year, 478 thousand hectares of areas are planned for
cultivation, including 384.2 thousand hectares for grains of which 356.8
thousand hectares for wheat, 38.2 thousand hectares for fodder plants, 41 thousand
hectares for oil plants, 14.9 thousand hectares for potatoes, 9.2 thousand
hectares for vegetables and 7.3 thousand hectares for fruits and berries.
