Country has petroleum reserve for 37 days consumption

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mineral Resources and Petroleum Authority gave a briefing yesterday, on April 15.
As of April 14, 2020, the country has reserve of petroleum products for 37 days consumption nationwide, more specifically, A-80 fuel – for 86 days, AI-92 fuel – for 31 days, diesel fuel – for 36 days, aviation fuel- for 13 days.
About transportation of petroleum products, head of Petroleum Products Department N.Enkhtsogt said “Mongolia imports petroleum from the Russian Federation. Transportation has not stopped so far in relation with the COVID-19 and it is running normal. But we sent a request to entities to increase their reserves. It is ruled for companies with special license to have reserve of one-month consumption. Therefore, it can be understood that reserve is normal.”
As for retail price, A-80 fuel decreased by MNT 250- 270, AI-92 fuel by MNT 280-310, AI- 95 fuel by MNT 130 and diesel fuel by MNT 300 in Orkhon and Selenge aimags while A-80 fuel price lowered by MNT 270, AI-92 fuel by MNT 250, AI-95 fuel by MNT 180 and diesel fuel by MNT 190 in Ulaanbaatar city or central zone. Moreover, price for respective A-80 and AI-92 fuel went down by MNT 300, AI-95 fuel by MNT 150 and diesel fuel by MNT 300 in Dornod aimag or eastern zone.
