BoM Governor meets ADB Country Director

/MONTSAME/ On December 17, Governor of the Bank of Mongolia (BoM) B.Lkhagvasuren
met with Pavit Ramachandran, Asian Development Bank (ADB)’s Country Director
for Mongolia, and other officials of the bank.
At the
meeting, Mr. B.Lkhagvasuren provided information on the economic policy issues
BoM will be addressing in the future. To be specific, he informed that the
central bank is placing emphasis on successfully implementing the International
Monetary Fund's Extended Fund Facility program in 2020, getting removed from Financial
Action Task Force’s list in 2020, and extending the swap arrangement with the People's
Bank of China.
The ADB
representative showed readiness to cooperate in taking policy actions to
strengthen and reform the banking and financial system of Mongolia.
