Air Force Commanders convene virtually

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Air Force Commanders representing 21 Air Forces across Indo-Pacific came together for a virtual meeting yesterday at the initiation of Commander of the U.S. Pacific Air Forces General Kenneth S. Wilsbach, reports the General Staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces.


Commander of Air Military Division of the General Staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces Brigadier General B.Batbayar, Assistant Defense Attaché of the Embassy of the U.S. in Mongolia Major Matthew Smalley and other relevant officials of the Ministry of Defense and Mongolian Armed Forces took part in the meeting.




The participants shared experiences and highlighted the significant role of Air Forces in the measures being taken by respective Governments in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic besides actions in coping with the impacts of climate change.


The meeting which has been held for the second time was organized under the theme “Impact of the Extreme Climate on Air Force Operations and Duties” and the participants exchanged information on the climate specifics of their representing countries and its negative impacts, as well as ways to overcome it.




At the end of the meeting, General Kenneth S. Wilsbach invited the commanders to attend a conference which will be held in Hawaii in September, 2021, and announced that the next virtual meeting is scheduled in December, 2020.
