NEMA Chief receives UN Resident Coordinator

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On September 9, Chief of the National Emergency management Agency (NEMA), Brigadier General G.Ariunbuyan held meeting with UN Resident Coordinator in Mongolia Tapan Mishra.


 Mentioning the provision of leadership and organization for the humanitarian team as well as the consistent humanitarian assistance provided for citizens during natural disasters, the NEMA Chief expressed gratitude for the support and partnership in the countermeasures against the global COVID-19 pandemic.

 

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the measures being taken in reducing disaster risks as well as winter preparations and readiness, and scheduled the date for the next meeting of the UN humanitarian team.


 

 

Over the years, NEMA has been in close partnership with the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office and other specialized agencies.
