Sod-turning ceremony held for redevelopment project in Nalaikh district

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ During their April visit to Nalaikh district, municipal authorities talked with citizens about demolishing outdated buildings and replacing them with new residential apartments for redevelopment.


On June 20, a sod-turning ceremony was held to redevelop the site of two old apartment blocks with the district's governor Ch.Radnaabazar, Capital City Housing Corporation CEO B.Sukhbaatar, CEO of project contractor, Standard Holding LLC, O.Myagmardorj, and citizens in attendance.


As part of the redevelopment project, 10-floor residential buildings will be constructed for 126 households and a 75-apartment block will be built first by December, 2020. The redevelopment project covers 6145,84 sq.m area in total.


During the event, Mr. B.Sukhbaatar underlined that more redevelopment projects will be implemented in the future. According to the official, works are underway to replace 88 of the total 344 outdated apartment buildings in Ulaanbaatar.
