Mongolian Women’s Para Archery Team Crowned World Champions

Ulaanbaatar, September 29, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The 2025 World Archery Para Championships have concluded in Gwangju, South Korea on September 28, 2025.
The tournament brought together 176 athletes from 28 countries competing in individual, men’s, women’s, and mixed team events. Under the guidance of national head coach B. Zolboo, Mongolia was represented by three male and two female archers.
International Masters D. Selengee and B. Oyun-Erdene secured the gold medal in the women's team event, raising Mongolia’s national anthem on the world stage.
They defeated Italy 6–2, edged past Türkiye 5–4, and swept the South Korea 6–0 to claim victory. With this triumph, they have become the first Mongolian archers ever to win a World Championship title in the team category, as well as the first Mongolians to be crowned world champions in para-archery.
