National Playwriting Contest Winners Announced

Ulaanbaatar, September 29, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Nationwide Campaign “Literature Week” has concluded to develop literature and publishing, one of the leading sectors of the cultural creative industries; support universal education in the mother tongue and literature; and foster national consciousness, thinking, and pride among children and youth.
Within the framework of the campaign, a National Playwriting Contest was announced, and winners have been selected. Alongside emerging young creators, experienced authors competed with works on historical, contemporary, and youth-related themes. In the category of historical plays, Honored Figure of Culture of Mongolia B. Sarantuya won first place with her play “The Queen with a Bloody Seal.” The works “The Sun Will Rise Tomorrow” by E. Batbold and “Timur the Lame: Retribution of the Gold Sword” by O. Elbegtugs followed in second and third place, respectively. Below are the winning works in each category:
