30 thousand school graduates to take higher education entrance exam July 2-5

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports yesterday, June 15, provided update on the ongoing preparation of the 2020 general entrance exam for high school graduates. The nationwide entrance exam to colleges and universities is scheduled on July 02-05. 

All types of general educational institutions in the country have been closed since February 2020 to prevent from the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and will reopen on September 1, 2020 for the next school year. During this time, a total of 580 tele-classes on school subjects have been conducted via TV for students graduating from high schools and newspapers containing school lessons have been delivered to students in remote rural areas, who have no access to television and internet. 

This year, 30,902 high school graduates have been registered to take general entrance exams to enter into higher education institutions. The general entrance exam questions of this year will not cover subjects taught for the 12th grade in the last two terms of 2019-2020 school year, instead, the exams will contain questions related to curriculum of the 10th and 11th grades. 

The entire process of grading and scoring of all exam response sheets will be livestreamed on a designated webpage after each subject exam.
