Ulaanbaatar city council elections to take place in 23 constituencies

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On April 30, the Ulaanbaatar city
council approved an election working group’s proposals on electoral
constituencies and mandates for the capital city council elections scheduled
for October 2020.
The 2020 Ulaanbaatar city council elections will be held in
23 constituencies across the capital city depending on the population,
administrative and territorial division, district size and density.
In terms of electoral mandates for each constituency, Bagakhangai
district will have one mandate, Baganuur and Nalaikh – two mandates each,
Chingeltei and Sukhbaatar – four mandates each, Bayangol and Khan-Uul – six mandates
each, and Bayanzurkh and Songinokhairkhan districts will be allowed ten mandates
each.
