Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Following decisions were made during the regular meeting of the Cabinet held on April 15.
- Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Yo.Baatarbileg made a presentation on buildings and facilities in physical education and sports sector, current condition of its operation and actions to take on it. A total of 950 organizations, of which 40 are public organizations and 910 are non-governmental organizations, are running their operations in this field nationwide. According to 2020 statistics, there are 17.818 athletes with sports degrees and ranks alongside 2565 coaches and instructors at the national level. And 1017 sport halls and 765 outdoor sport fields have been counted.
- The Cabinet issued a resolution on some measures to support crop farming sustainable development. In the framework of the resolution, it was resolved to grant MNT 150 billion loan in aims of raising the amount of cultivation of grain, oil and fodder crops, potatoes, vegetable, fruit and berries, increasing the amount of farming fields and harvest and food reserve and production as well as stabilizing supply and price. The loan will be issued for one-year term with three percent interest rate and the loan interest differential of MNT 13.5 billion is resolved to be reflected in the state budget.
- Having a status of implementing agency under the Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry, the National Geological Office was set up. The
office will be consisted of six departments and it will be responsible for management and ensuring unified, organized activities for Geological Research Center and Central Geological Laboratory, which are outer units of it, to conduct
geological research, make analysis, process, save and provide information.
