Ulgii Milk starts high production dairy farm

Bayan-Ulgii /MONTSAME/ Ulgii Milk company of Bayan-Ulgii
aimag set up a high production dairy farm with a daily capacity of 300 liters
in Ulgii city.
The company invested MNT 250 million in the new farm with year-round production and over 40 Alatau, Simmental, and Holstein cattle were brought from Ulaanbaatar.
The farm sources forages from a local business and supplies 250-300 liters of milk at a price 30
percent lower than the market price per day. Ulgii Milk’s director S,Janat also
noted that the farm provides full-time jobs for 5-8 people and that the company
has a goal to increase production by improving cattle productivity.
