Ulaanbaatar city to be developed to have more pleasant living environments

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The concept of the 2040 General Development Plan of Ulaanbaatar city was approved at the meetings of the Citizens’ Representative Khural of the Capital City, the Science and Technology Committee at the Ministry of Construction and Urban Development, and the committee of the Minister of Construction and Urban Development. In connection with the document being presented to the Government for discussion, the Urban Development Department of the Capital City and the Urban Planning Research Institute has presented the document to Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar S.Amarsaikhan on March 31.

 

“Based on the current state of urban development, socio-economic growth, changes in modern society, and urban development trends for the future, goals have been set to have the city be sustainable, compact, economical, adaptable, and active, setting the 2040 development vision to develop Ulaanbaatar into a city with more pleasant living environments," highlighted Head of the Urban Planning Research Institute Ch.Regzmaa.

 

Governor S.Amarsaikhan obliged the corresponding officials to include certain matters that were not reflected, and highlighted that a more detailed study and calculations must be conducted.


 



Following the approval of the concept of the 2040 General Development Plan of Ulaanbaatar city by the Government, the development plan is to be jointly developed with the Ministry of Construction and Urban Development.
