Speaker G.Zandanshatar receives doctors and medical professionals

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Speaker G.Zandanshatar received doctors and medical professionals on March 16.
Present at the meeting were lecturer at Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS), Prof., Dr. N.Bira, Kh.Oyuntsetseg, associate professor, Dr.G.Erdenetuya, Ts.Odgerel, Dr.N.Uyen, and lecturer of the Cardiology Department, Head of the Trade Union of MNUMS N.Bat-Erdene. As health professionals had previously submitted a request to make amendments to the Law on Health, the matter was discussed during the meeting.
The request mentioned the following:
1. Add “University hospital” in Article 15.1.15 of the Law on Health of Mongolia;
2. Include a clause that states university hospitals to be under the corresponding medical university, and be a complex where medical research can be conducted alongside professional health care assistance.
Developed by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture, Science, and Sports, the amendment bill is planned to be presented to the parliament. Speaker G.Zandanshatar said, “During this time of fighting against the COVID-19 outbreak worldwide, matters should be decided as appropriately as possible, with a comprehensive policy for the future in mind. Regulation must be correctly set in place. Running the teaching hospital that has already been built, and put into operation, as per global standards is the most important.”
