Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On March 6, Speaker of the State
Great Khural G.Zandanshatar met with Dr Sergey Diorditsa, World Health
Organization (WHO) Representative to Mongolia, and Hauke Florian, Head of the
WHO Emergency medical team working in Mongolia between March 2 and 12.

that older people and those with underlying health conditions or a weak immune
system, are at the greatest risk of contracting COVID-19. “It is only right to
take every necessary measure and impose strict restrictions as the coronavirus
cases are on the rise in some countries. It is commendable that
Mongolia has started implementing precautions and restrictions early on,” he
said, while advising the country to remain vigilant and continue to take precautionary measures as the world is currently using various medications
to fight the disease and experts and researchers predict that a coronavirus
vaccine will be available next year.
Hauke Florian informed the Speaker that the EMT of six that is working in Mongolia from the German charitable aid agency, Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Deutschland (ASB), at WHO's request, is giving expert advice in Ulaanbaatar and rural areas.

G.Zandanshatar thanked WHO and ASB experts for assisting Mongolia in preventing
the disease and said the two organizations have full support of the Mongolian
parliament.
