Strategic plan for UN to partner with private entities to be developed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On February 12, President of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry O.Amartuvshin, Secretary-General B.Saruul and United Nations Resident Coordinator Tapan Mishra held a meeting to discuss partnership opportunities.
The importance of private entities’ participation in the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, creating a favorable environment for socio-economic development, developing policy based on research, and correlation between policies was highlighted at the meeting.
They also discussed paying attention to assessing the implementation of the development program in 2020, and ways to partner with representatives of the private sector.
Furthermore, partnering in organizing a series of events and meetings through the MNCCI and its branches in 21 aimags, and developing a strategic plan for the UN in cooperating with private entities in 2022-2027 was noted during the meeting.
