Regional counter-terrorism conference summary presented
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Organization for Security and
Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism
are jointly convening the Joint Regional High-level Conference on ‘Foreign
Terrorist Fighters – Addressing Current Challenges’ in Vienna, Austria on
February 11-12.
Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the
United Nations (Vienna) G.Battungalag took part in the conference as a speaker to present the outcomes and recommendations of the High-Level Inter-Regional Conference on
‘Whole-of-Society Approach’ to Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism and
Radicalization that Lead to Terrorism held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on June 20-21,
2019, as well as Mongolia’s counter-terrorism strategies and efforts.
Mongolia is preparing to host a national workshop on the introduction of Advance Passenger Information (API) and Passenger Name Record (PNR) systems jointly with OSCE as part of its active cooperation with the organization in counter-terrorism and transnational threats.
