Working regimes of border checkpoints during New Year Holiday

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ All 12 Mongolia-China border checkpoints for auto vehicles will be open on December 31 and will be closed on January 1, 2020, Wednesday for the New Year Holiday.
But 8 Mongolia-Russia border checkpoints will keep up with different schedules. In particular, Altanbulag-Khiagt and Ereentsav-Solovievsk will stay open on December 31 and January 1. Other checkpoints, such as,
Tsagaannuur-Tashanta border checkpoint will close on December 31 and January 1.
Borshoo-Khandgait border checkpoint will close on December 31.
Arstsuuri-Tsagaan Tolgoi border checkpoint will close January 1 and 2.
Tes-Sharsuuri border checkpoint will close from December 31 to January 5, 2020.
Khankh-Mond border checkpoint will close December 31 and January 8.
Ulikhan-Deed Ulikhan border checkpoint will close between January 1 and 8, 2020.
International railway and flights will proceed as regular scheduled timetable.
In compliance with intergovernmental agreements established by Mongolia with its two neighbor countries, Russia and China, on border ports and their working regimes, border crossing points for auto vehicles is closed during national holidays.
There are a total of 46 border checkpoints of Mongolia that border with Russia and China, 29 of which border with Russia and 13 with China as well as 4 air border points. Among them, 19 border checkpoints have been closed since 1994 due to lack of infrastructure.
