Gobi-Altai aimag signs 2020-2021 action plan with UNICEF

Gobi-Altai /MONTSAME/. Representative of UNICEF Mongolia Alex Heikens held a meeting with the governing body of Gobi-Altai aimag, and signed the cooperation action plan for 2020-2021.


More specifically, the sides discussed the implementation of the programme ‘Child Friendly Community’ in Gobi-Altai aimag, and signed the joint action plan for 2020-2021, with financing of USD 1.5 million planned for the period.

 

The programme’s aims are to improve the accessibility of health care services, food and water sanitation for children in target groups, and reduce the factors that are giving negative impacts on children’s health by 2021, alongside supporting the measures and decisions of the local government and NGOs aimed at children.
