Legal assistance request between Mongolia and China to be sent in digital form

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Delegates led by Prosecutor General of Mongolia B.Jargalsaikhan paid a working visit to the People’s Republic of China on November 24-28 at the invitation of Zhang Jun, Procurator-General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate (SPP).
Within the visit, Prosecutors General of the two countries signed a cooperation agreement between the General Prosecutor’s Office of Mongolia and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of China.
According to the agreement, the sides resolved some issues including directly sending requests on legal assistance between the two countries in digital form, involving Mongolian prosecutors in advanced training annually in the Legal Academy at the SPP as well as developing partnership between prosecutors’ offices in neighboring prefectures and provinces.
Furthermore, the Mongolian delegates visited Shanghai city, discussing cooperation of Ulaanbaatar city Prosecutor Office and Shanghai Municipal People’s Procuratorate.
The Chinese side accepted a proposal made by the Prosecutor General of Mongolia on establishing joint agreement of Prosecutors General of Mongolia, China and Russia on Environmental Protection and Ecological Safety at the regional level and agreed to set up a joint working group.
