‘Night of Mongolian Opera’ concert takes place in Jakarta

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. ‘Night of Mongolian Opera’ concert took place on November 16 in Jakarta, the Republic of Indonesia.


The concert was held at the initiation of Honorary Consul of Mongolia to the Republic of Indonesia Tjandra Mindharta Gozali and the Cultural Envoy of Mongolia to Indonesia Setiono Juandi Darmono and at the concert State Honored Artist, Cultural Envoy of Mongolia, opera singer E.Ankhbayar, opera singer FCW (Foremost Cultural Worker) D.Otgonjargal, D.Duinkhorjav and singer FCW N.Naranbaatar performed. In addition to the classics of Giacomo Puccini, Georges Bizet, Giuseppe Verdi, singers also presented Mongolian classic songs “I am a Mongolian”, “Mongolian Steppe” etc.


Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Indonesia in 1956, the political and economic cooperation has been developing rapidly in recent years. Emphasizing that there are opportunities to develop bilateral cooperation in energy, trade, education and social sectors, Honorary Consul of Mongolia to the Republic of Indonesia Tjandra Mindharta Gozali noted during the opening ceremony that he believes the “Night of Mongolian Opera” concert would be significant for intensifying bilateral cooperation in cultural and tourism sectors.
