Energy Minister attends International Renewable Energy Conference

/MONTSAME/ Minister of Energy Ts.Davaasuren took part in the eighth
International Renewable Energy Conference held in Seoul, South Korea on October
22-25. At the conference, energy ministers of Mongolia, China, South Korea,
Germany, UAE, Cambodia, and Uzbekistan shared their views concerning
international renewable energy.
Minister
Ts.Davaasuren introduced Mongolia’s renewable energy policy and the sector’s current state and future outlook, stating opinions on expanding cooperation and collaborating
with international organizations.
During the conference, the Energy Minister met with South Korean Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Sung Yun-mo, discussing the pressing issues faced by Mongolia’s energy sector and bilateral energy cooperation.
The Minister
also attended the North-East
Asia Regional Power Interconnection and Cooperation Forum 2019 organized by the
United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, presenting
the Strategy for Northeast Asia Power System Interconnection developed with the support from the Asian Development Bank under the Mongolian President’s Northeast
Asian Super Grid Initiative.
