State Secretary D.Davaasuren receives UK Minister of Asia and the Pacific Heather Wheeler

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Heather Wheeler, Minister of Asia and the Pacific at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is paying an official visit to Mongolia between October 1 and 3. State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Davaasuren met with Ms. Heather Wheeler on October 2.
State Secretary D.Davaasuren remarked that friendly relations established with the UK has been intensifying recent years, expanding collaboration in the areas of politics, trade, economy, culture, education and international security. State Secretary D.Davaasuren informed about current state of democracy in Mongolia and ‘Third Neighbor’ policy and expressed his confidence that Mr. Julian Knight, UK Trade Envoy to Mongolia would make valuable contribution to increase bilateral trade and investment and broaden cooperation.
At the meeting, the sides shared views on developing bilateral economic cooperation and organizing regular round table meeting, which is an intergovernmental consultative mechanism, in the near future.
They also talked over cooperation in strengthening peace and stability in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and Northeast Asia, expanding cooperation in security and ensuring green development.
