Mongolian-Chinese scientific institutes signed 13 memorandums

Ulanqab /MONTSAME/ Ulanqab /MONTSAME/ Mongolia-China Expo is running with the second Mongolia-China Technology Transfer and Innovation Cooperation Conference.
At the conference, Mongolian and Chinese technologies were introduced and the sides made presentations and held discussions on issues related to scientific park. A total of eight representatives from scientific institutes of Mongolia attended the scientific exhibition and presented outcomes of their researches and scientific works.
Deputy Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports G.Ganbayar emphasized that there is big opportunity to create, produce and export knowledge-based and value added products relying on rich and organic raw materials of Mongolia. Thus, it is crucial to create a mechanism to develop cooperation in science, technology and innovation sectors in the time when regional trade and economic cooperation is in favorable condition.
“Promoting Mongolia-China technology transfer and innovation cooperation is significant to broaden regional cooperation among Northeast Asian countries within Belt and Road Initiative”, said a representative of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering.
As of now, there are proposals of more than 120 projects on scientific and technological cooperation between Mongolia and China. At the conference, scientific institutes of the two countries signed 13 memorandums of cooperation on conducting research works in the fields of science, technology, innovation, modern agriculture, Mongolian medicine, mining and its rehabilitation. This is an indication that the two countries have enormous possibilities to share experience and practices on technology and innovation between the two countries.
Within the framework of scientific cooperation between Mongolia and China, the parties are aiming to broaden cooperation in high technology field, improving use of technology incubator, technology transfer center and laboratory established with Chinese assistance in Mongolia and introducing scientific achievements into production and services, noted a member of Presidium of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, academician T.Gan-Erdene.
