Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On August 5, Mongolian mountaineers successfully reached the top of Lenin peak, a 7,134 m peak situated on the border of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan and is the second-highest point of the both countries. The team comprised of Honored Athlete G.Usukhbayar, and mountaineers B.Onon and D.Erdenetogtokh.

The team departed from Mongolia last month to conquer Ismoil Somoni Peak (7495 m) and Korzhenevskoi Peak (7105 m). However, the plan was cancelled as the helicopter that was supposed to transport the mountaineers had broken down.
