Mongolian mountaineers conquer Lenin Peak

/MONTSAME/ On August 5, Mongolian mountaineers successfully reached the top of
Lenin peak, a 7,134 m peak situated on the border of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan
and is the second-highest point of the both countries. The team comprised of
Honored Athlete G.Usukhbayar, and mountaineers B.Onon and D.Erdenetogtokh.
The team departed
from Mongolia last month to conquer Ismoil Somoni Peak (7495 m) and Korzhenevskoi
Peak (7105 m). However, the plan was cancelled as the helicopter that was
supposed to transport the mountaineers had broken down.
