Foreign Minister of Japan to visit Mongolia

/MONTSAME/ Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Taro Kono will pay an official
visit to Mongolia on June 15-17 at the invitation of Mongolian Foreign Minister
D.Tsogtbaatar.
During the
visit, the Japanese Foreign Minister will pay courtesy calls on President of
Mongolia Kh.Battulga and Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh, and hold talks with
Foreign Minister D.Tsogtbaatar. He will also attend the opening of the Mongolia-Japan
Teaching Hospital of the Mongolian
National University of Medical Sciences, which was built with Japan's official
development assistance.
This will be the first Foreign Ministerial visit from Japan to Mongolia after nine years. Previously, the country’s former Foreign Ministers Sosuke Uno, Yoriko Kawaguchi, and Katsuya Okada visited Mongolia in 1989, 2004, and 2010 respectively.
