Bronze bust of Mongolia’s Prime Minister erected in Moscow

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Celebration the 240th anniversary of
the State University of Land Use Planning of the Russian Federation is being
held on May 27-31. The university’s ‘Alley of Glory’ was opened within the
framework of the celebratory events.
Bronze busts of 12 renowned graduates and
former employees of the university, on pedestals, have been placed in the
alley. Among the busts are those of the late Prime Minister of Mongolia J.Narantsatsralt
and Former Deputy Prime Minister and Agriculture Minister of Russia V.N.Khlystun.
Opening of the alley was attended by the university’s Rector and academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences S.N.Volkov, President of the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography, Hero of Mongolia, two-time Hero of the Soviet Union and astronaut V.P.Savinyh, Chargé d'affaires at the Embassy of Mongolia to Russia O.Ochirmaa, First Secretary J.Bayarkhuu, the late Prime Minister’s spouse M.Altantsetseg, children N.Soyombo and N.Tulga, and grandson S.Molor-Erdene, the university’s alumni led by Head of the Mongolian Land Management Association D.Munkhbaatar, as well as the lecturers and students of the university.
In her address at the opening, Ms. O.Ochirmaa highlighted
that the university has made a significant contribution to training professional
land-use planners of Mongolia. Professionals and political figures who have
been playing key roles in the development of the current land
administration body of Mongolia are the alumni of this university, she
remarked.
“My father laid the foundation of today’s land administration department of Ulaanbaatar after graduating from this university in 1981. He took part in approving the country’s land law and put his utmost effort into giving the citizens land ownership through science-based management”, said Mr. N.Soyombo while expressing deepest gratitude for the establishment of the bust on behalf of his family and father’s colleagues.
