Mongolia-Russia Intergovernmental Commission convenes

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 22nd meeting of Mongolia-Russia Intergovernmental Commission took place in Ulaanbaatar city on May 30.


Sub-commission and a working group on Educational, Scientific, Agricultural, Regional and Cross border Cooperation convened and reached to certain agreements. In particular, the sides finally resolved the long-standing issue on excise duty worth MNT100 million on diesel fuel which supplied to the need of Ulaanbaatar Railways. As the issue has been resolved it creates favorable condition for financing renovation of the basic structure of the railway.  Moreover, they created condition to give ownership of 550 immovable properties of Russia in territory of Mongolia to households living there now firstly. Ownership issue for the rest of the apartments and buildings will be resolved at stages. The 


Furthermore, the parties discussed about carrying out the third phase of healthy livestock joint program, bringing bilateral trade turnover at USD 2 billion by 2020 and developing cooperation in energy, mining and humanitarian. Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia and Head of Mongolian part of the Commission U.Enkhtuvshin and Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia and Head of Russian part A.V.Gordeyev signed protocol that reflected above mentioned issues.
