Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A new baby camel was born to Zasu (mom) and Gobi (dad) on May 18 in Idaho Falls Zoo in state of Idaho, USA. The baby camel is their third child.

Bactrian camels are native to Mongolia and the zoo has a tradition to name the new born animals with their native country’s name. Therefore, they asked people who love animals to suggest their regionally-appropriate name for the baby camel through Facebook, dropping it in the comments.

Under the facebook post by the Zoo about searching for an appropriate name for the new baby camel, Mongolian names such as Batbayar, Bukht and Erdene have been suggested. The family of the zoo will choose a name for the baby camel this week from the names written in the comments and so you can also offer your wanted names as well.

The Idaho Falls Zoo has more than 330 individual animals representing 120 species from around the world and three  of them are Bactrian camels.
