Deputy governor meets newly appointed IOM Officer for Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Deputy Governor of the capital city D.Enkhtur met with the International Organization
for Migration (IOM) Officer-in-Charge for China and Mongolia Mr. Guiseppe
Kroseti on February 28.
Mentioning about
his arrival to the country just after his appointment to the post, Mr. Kroseti spoke about
activities and objectives of
IOM and its ongoing projects
and programs in Mongolia.
The IOM has carried out two
studies namely, ‘Mongolia: Internal Migration Study’ and ‘Mongolia: Urban
Migrant Vulnerability Assessment’, and issued relevant recommendations.
Deputy Governor D. Enkhtur
expressed willingness to
cooperate with
the IOM in promoting employment in rural areas, increasing agricultural production,
strengthening the capacity of migration management and decentralizing the capital city
within the IOM’s project ‘Understanding and Managing Internal Migration in
Mongolia’.
