Energy Minister meets Ambassadors
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On January 29, Minister of Energy
Ts.Davasuren held meetings with I.K.Azizov, Ambassador of the Russian
Federation to Mongolia and Jiri Brodsky, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to
Mongolia.
At the meeting with the Russian Ambassador, Energy Minister
Ts.Davaasuren touched upon progress of renewal of turbine generators in the Thermal Power Station No.4 state-owned JSC and cooperation issues between
Thermal Power Station No.3 state-owned JSC and Inter RAO Company of Russia. In
turn, Ambassador I.K.Azizov noted his willingness to maintain bilateral long-lasting
cooperation in energy sector as well as to continue the projects being
implemented successfully and provide support for the mutually beneficial ones.
With the Czech Ambassador, Minister Ts.Davaasuren talked
about bilateral energy cooperation and smart energy systems. Ambassador Jiri
Brodsky proposed to cooperate in increasing energy efficiency and implementing
projects on introduction of smart systems, modern smart metering technologies
and innovations. He also invited the Energy Minister to visit the Czech
Republic at the invitation of the country’s Minister of Industry and Trade and get
acquainted with advanced energy technologies. For his part, the Energy Minister
noted the Ministry is endeavouring to thoroughly introduce smart technologies
in energy sector. At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness
to expand bilateral energy cooperation through smart energy systems.
