Mongolian parliamentary delegation visits Laos

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Mongolian
parliamentary delegation headed by Yo.Baatarbileg, head of Parliamentary
Standing Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture and Science and head of
the Mongolia-Laos Parliamentary Group in Mongolian Parliament, and
Sh.Radnaased, head of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Justice paid an
official visit to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic on January 17-19.
During the visit, Mongolian
delegation paid a courtesy call on Ms. Pany Yathotou, President of the National
Assembly of Laos and held official meetings with chairman of the Cultural and
Social Committee and vice chairman of Law Committee of the National Assembly
and head of Laos-Mongolia parliamentary group.
During the talks, the sides
expressed their satisfaction with bilateral friendly relations and cooperation,
in particular expanding inter-parliamentary relations, and agreed to pay
attention on wide opportunities to develop trade and economic cooperation between
two countries, for which parliamentary support will be rendered.
Mr. Baatarbileg also handed over
an official invitation of Mongolian Parliament Speaker to Ms. Pany Yathotou to
attend the 2nd forum on SDG Agenda in Asia and the Pacific to be hosted in
Ulaanbaatar in May, 2019.
The delegation also visited the
Lao meat importer and rice production companies.
