Operations of the Metrology Institute to reach international standards

/MONTSAME/ A memorandum of cooperation was today signed by Head of the
Mongolian Agency for Standardization and Metrology (MASM) G.Gantumur and President
of the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS) Sang-Ryoul
Park.
The two
organizations have been cooperating since the establishment of a Memorandum of
Understanding in 1997. This time, the sides renewed the memorandum of
cooperation in metrology and technology fields until 2024.
KRISS has been
rendering technical assistance in creating Mongolia’s national measurement
standard (etalon), making it internationally
recognized, especially, in training, specializing and empowering personnel in metrology.
Within the renewed memorandum, the sides will cooperate in conducting joint researches and training regarding etalon, exchanging specialists and researchers, as well as exchanging technical information. As a result of the cooperation, scientific and technical capacity of the Metrology Institute of MASM will be strengthened and satisfy international standards.
