School in Altai soum to be rebuilt with assistance of Swiss NGO

Bayan-Ulgii /MONTSAME/ According to the Governor’s Office of Bayan-Ulgii aimag, an elementary school building and its dormitory in Ulaan Khad bagh in Altai soum of the aimag will be reconstructed with a financing from the Swiss NGO ‘La mensa e il gregge’. The reconstruction work will begin in April, 2019.
This matter was discussed by the aimag’s Governor and the Head of La mensa e il gregge at their meeting on October 2.
Ulaan Khad bag is located 50 km away from the soum centre and 170 km from the aimag centre. Rebuilding of the school, which was established in 2004, will provide herders’ children with full access to education and improve the learning environment.
In 2017, a kindergarten for 100 children was built with a financing of the NGO in Khukh Khutul bagh in Ulaan Khus soum, Bayan-Ulgii aimag.
