Draughts players win Irkutsk competition

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Irkutsk Oblast- Mongolian draughts players friendly match was held at the Central chess club of Irkutsk on August 2-3. A total of four teams including two teams of Irkutsk Oblast, Mongolia and Buryatia competed in Russian and international draughts.
Mongolian team won the first friendly match, gaining 39 points in team score. Our team led with 22.5 out of possible 24 points (21 wins and 3 ties) in international draughts and 16.5 points in Russian draughts.
The first team of Irkutsk Oblast followed with a total score of 29.5, the second team of Irkutsk Oblast gained 16 and the team of Buryatia 11.5 points respectively.
A blitz match was held at the end of the friendly match. In men’s category GMI G.Ganjargal, GMI R.Manlai and Denis Filatov won the first three places and CMF B.Misheel, FMJD Master E.Khuslen and Master of Sports E.Ariunzaya led in women’s category.
During the competition the Russian players were invited to participate in the upcoming competitions in Mongolia including the Institute of Engineering and Technology competition and National Championship of Russian draughts.
