Minister D.Tsogtbaatar pays visit to Slovak Republic

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Foreign Affairs Minister D.Tsogtbaatar paid a working visit to the Slovak Republic on April 20, at the invitation of Minister of Economy of Slovakia Peter Ziga.
In frame of the visit, Minister D.Tsogtbaatar paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister of Slovakia Peter Pellegrini and held bilateral talks with Slovakia’s Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Information Richard Rasi and Minister of Economy Peter Ziga. The parties talked over collaborating in fields of trade, economy, agriculture, education and e-governance and agreed to get soft loan from Export-Import Bank of Slovakia, to train Mongolian 30 students annually with scholarships of Government of the Slovak Republic in veterinary, agricultural management and information technology to boost agriculture sector and to establish an intergovernmental memorandum of cooperation in e-governance.
Moreover, they decided to organize the first meeting of the Joint Economic Committee which was set up in the scope of ‘Agreement on Economic Cooperation between Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and Ministry of Economy of the Republic Slovakia’, in September in Ulaanbaatar.

Minister D.Tsogtbaatar held an official meeting with State Secretary of Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Lukas Parizek. During the meeting, they exchanged views on bilateral ties, cooperation, regional and international matters and Mr.Lukas Parizek expressed Slovakia’s interest to expand cooperation with Mongolia in all spheres.

Within the framework of his visit, Minister D.Tsogtbaatar also met members of Slovakia-Mongolia Friendship Group, led by Vice Chair of Economic Committee of Slovakia’s National Council Maros Kondrot.
