Photo exhibition showcases 70 years Mongolia-DPRK relationship

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Inauguration of photo exhibition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) took place on March 9 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Present at the inaugural ceremony were political and social figures, diplomatists, representatives of public organizations and the Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in Mongolia.

"Traditional friendly ties between Mongolia and DPRK, hinged upon people's aspiration and their friendship is reaching 70th years old overcoming long time challenges. Embassies of the two counties were mutually opened in difficult years of the Korean War.  Mongolia is for developing established relations with DPRK in future," underlined Foreign Affairs Minister D.Tsogtbaatar in his opening speech.

Ambassador Mr. O Suing Ho said reciprocal acknowledgement of the two countries opened a new page in  history of the relations and friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries strengthened in many spheres in 70 years. "Great leader of our country Kim Il-sung paid visit to Mongolia two times and he together with Mongolian leaders set foundation of development of the  relations between the two countries."
