E.Ankhbayar wins second place at International Opera Competition

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian opera singer E.Ankhbayar won the second place in the International Opera Competition which was held in Vienna, Austria. The competition was attended by almost 140 opera singers from 39 countries.
 
Prior to this prize, E.Ankhbayar claimed the First Prize at the 2nd Eva Marton International competition in Budapest, Hungary last year. Moreover he participated in the 10th Competition after L. Linkhovoin, where he won the award for Best Voice and Grand Prize in 2011 and was also granted first prize at the International Opera Competition named after Bibigul Tulegenova.

Furthermore he played in biggest operas such as ‘Eugene Onegin’ by P.I.Tchaikovsky, ‘Don Giovanni’ by W.A.Mozart, ‘Carmen’ by Georges Bizet, ‘Traviata’ by Giuseppe Verdi, ‘Bohema’ by Giacomo Puccini, ‘Three Dramatic Characters’ by B.Damdinsuren and ‘Chinggis Khaan’ by B.Sharav.
