Economy | AgricultureUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ As of the first four months of 2016, 15.6 million heads breeding animals gave births which equals to 65.4% of total 23.9 million heads breeding animals that was counted at the end of 2015.
Live young animals amounted to 15.3 million heads which decreased by 42.8 thousand heads or 0.3% against the previous year.
In the first four months of 2016, natural losses of adult animals reached 1,039.9 thousand heads at the national level, increasing by 806.9 thousand heads or 4.5 times against the previous year. Among the lost animals, 41.8 thousand heads were horses, 103.7 thousand heads--cattle, 0.5 thousand--camels, 381.3 thousand heads--sheep and 512.7 thousand heads--goats.
