Restoration works required for 140 historical buildings in Ulaanbaatar
Researchers highlighted that it has become necessary to restore historical buildings during a discussion held on December 8. The Choijin Lama Temple Museum organized a discussion under the topic, ‘Current state of restoration for historical buildings, and its future’ at the Museum of Chinggis Khaan in aims of accelerating the studies being carried out on restoring historical buildings, discussing the policies implemented on the buildings’ restoration and making an assessment, and promoting historical heritage and its current state.

Copies of cultural heritage artifacts handed over for Museum of Chinggis Khaan
On November 12, President of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh received Honorary Consul of Mongolia in Tokushima, Japan Kawauchi Shiro. The Honorary Consul presented copies of scrolls depicting the invasion of the Yuan Dynasty being kept at the Imperial Palace of Japan, and Chinggis Khaan’s Gerege being kept at the Library of Tenri University.

Undur Gegeen Zanabazar’s Tara deity sculptures presented for the first time as a collection
Invaluable cultural heritage artifacts of Mongolia - 21 Tara sculptures have been presented to the public at the Fine Arts Zanabazar Museum. In the framework of the ‘Month of Cultural Creativity’ announced by the Ministry of Culture, the sculptures, ‘Twenty-One Taras’, ‘Green Tara’, and ‘White Tara’ out of the collection of cast sculptures created by Undur Gegeen Zanabazar are being presented for the first time as a complete set.
