80th birth anniversary of film director B. Baljinnyam to be commemorated

/MONTSAME/. This year marks the
80th birth anniversary of Mongolia’s State Prize Laureate, Honored Artist, and
famous film director B. Baljinnyam and the 30th anniversary of his famous film “Under
the Power of the Eternal Sky”.
As part of the
anniversary, the “Film producer Baljinnyam Begz Foundation” will organize a series
of events at the “Mongolian Art” gallery on October 21-23.
“Film producer Baljinnyam
Begz Foundation” NGO was founded in December 2021 with the aim to study and
promote the contribution and work of Mongolian film director B. Baljinyam, the
State Prize Laureate and State Honored Artist, passing on the great artistic
and cultural heritage he created to future generations and perpetuating his
name.
The anniversary
program will kick off tomorrow with the scientific meeting “Under the Eternal
Sky - 30 years” and ‘If want to glow, then will flame up...’ a photo exhibition
of the life and work of director B. Baljinnyam, the opening of the book
‘Between the distant mirages,’ and a meeting of artists. There will also be an opening
of the ‘Historical Film Artist’ exhibition of the works of Mongolian State
Prize Laureate artist B. Purevsukh and other Film Artists.
The foundation also planned to organize “Movie Days of Filmmaker B. Baljinyam” together with the House of Friendship of Nations affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sakha Yakut from November 27 to December 2 and Mongolian Film Days with the support of the Consulate General of Mongolia in Irkutsk at the beginning of December in Irkutsk, Russia.
