President Khurelsukh sends souvenir to UNESCO

/MONTSAME/. In the frames of
the ‘Mongolian Cultural Days,’ held in the French Republic on September
20-23, the artists of the National Theater of Mongolia presented their
performance named ‘Legend of the Nomads’ at the UNESCO headquarters.
The vice-chairman of
the Office of President B. Tuyatsetseg handed a souvenir with content of the
inclusion of Khuvsgul Lake Biosphere Reserve in the UNESCO World Network of
Biosphere Reserves, which was sent from the President of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh,
over to Assistant Director-General for the Social and Human Sciences of UNESCO Gabriela
Ramos.

Director-General Audrey Azoulay met with the President of Mongolia U.
Khurelsukh while paying a working visit to Mongolia in July on the occasion of
the 60th anniversary of Mongolia’s accession to UNESCO. During the meeting, Ms.
Audrey handed a Certificate confirming the inclusion of Khuvsgul Lake Biosphere
Reserve in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves over to the President
of Mongolia.
1200 guests and
representatives including the member of the State Great Khural and the
chair of the Mongolian-French parliamentary group J.Chinburen, Deputy
Minister of Culture M.Batbayar, Ambassador and Permanent Representative
U.Nyamkhuu, the French Senates, Ministries, Secretariats, Paris, international
organizations based in Paris, embassies of foreign countries, Permanent
Representations to UNESCO, representatives of Mongolian citizens living and
working in Europe attended the events.
