Mongolia sees 6 more COVID-19 cases, total at 185
D.Nyamkhuu, Director of Center for Communicable Diseases announced today at the daily COVID-19 press briefing that the total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mongolia grew to 185 after six more people were tested positive for the virus, yesterday, May 31.

President extends greetings on Children’s Day
June 1 - Children’s Day is celebrated in Mongolia as an official public holiday to honor the children. Each year, various public celebratory activities had been organized, including the “Mongolian Children” large-scale event for children at the central square in Ulaanbaatar city.

No new COVID-19 case detected, 44th recovery reported
At today’s daily briefing on the COVID-19 infections in the country, D.Nyamkhuu, Director of the Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD), informed that another patient has recovered from the coronavirus, which made the total number of recoveries in Mongolia 44.

One of Nine Wonders of Dundgobi aimag: Ikh Gazriin Chuluu Nature Reserve
About 80 km to the east of the Dundgobi aimag center, there is a certain lined rock formation in an area of about 600 sq.km, stretching 30 km in length and 15 km in width. This particular area is the Ikh Gazriin Chuluu Nature Reserve.

To date, Mongolia has repatriated its 9 thousand and 68 citizens in total, according to Head of the Operative Staff of the State Emergency Commission (SEC), Deputy Chief of the National Emergency Management Agency, Colonel B.Uuganbayar.

People in mandatory isolation ineligible to vote
Citizens, who are at isolation accommodations due to COVID-19 precautionary measures, are ineligible to vote for an upcoming parliamentary election on June 24, reported L. Loan agreements signed with South Korea
On May 28, Minister of Finance Ch.Khurelbaatar and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Mongolia Lee Yeo-hong signed an exchange of letters on the extension of the General Agreement between the Governments of Mongolia and the Republic of Korea on loan from the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) until the end of 2020.

18 new imported COVID-19 cases detected, total rises to 179
Eighteen new imported COVID-19 cases were recorded in Mongolia and the total number has jumped to 179, said Director of the National Center of Communicable Diseases (NCCD) D.Nyamkhuu at today’s daily COVID-19 briefing of the Ministry of Health.

Construction of Chinggis Khaan Museum to be completed by December 2020
On May 27, Prime Minister of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh visited the construction site of the Chinggis Khaan Museum. In about 2 months since its construction launch, the foundation of the building has been completed, kicking off the work for the ground floor recently.

Two more deer relocated to Bogd Khan Mountain
Two red deer have been relocated from Khustain Nuruu National Park (NP) to the strictly protected Bogd Khan Mountain in addition to the 10 red deer relocated to the strictly protected mountain earlier this month.
