Ulaanbaatar, October 20, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Summary of Events for the Week of October 20–26, 2025.


Events in Ulaanbaatar:

October 20: A meeting of parliamentary groups will be held.
October 20: United Nations Day will be observed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
October 20: The Day of the National Referendum will be marked as an amendment was made to include the day in the "List of Historical Events and Commemorative Days," to be marked annually on October 20.
October 20: The team draw for the "Golden Cup-2025" wrestling tournament of the Mongolian Wrestling Federation will take place.
October 20: The National Security Council of Mongolia and the Institute of History and Ethnology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences will co-organize the international academic conference “80 Years Since the National Referendum for Independence” at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum.



October 21–22: Standing committee meetings of the State Great Khural (Parliament) will convene.
October 23: A Cabinet session will take place at the State Palace.
October 23–24: The plenary session of the State Great Khural will be held.
October 24: International Day for the Eradication of Poverty will be observed.
October 24: United Nations Day.
October 24–26: The expo themed “Sustainable Tourism – Central Asia” will take place for the 26th year at the "Misheel Expo Mega Hall."
October 25: First round of the “Golden Cup” wrestling tournament of the Mongolian Wrestling Federation will take place.
October 26: First round of the “Golden Cup” wrestling tournament of the Mongolian Wrestling Federation will continue.


The national campaign “Autumn Tree Planting Days” will continue nationwide until October 26.

The temporary exhibition “Treasures of New Exhibits” will run at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum until October 30.



The nationwide awareness campaign Golden Autumn – Care for Your Planted Trees” continues.

The campaign “Imported Food Trade and Inspection” organized by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry will run until November 1.

The campaign “Cultural Space – Our Environment” will continue nationwide until November 3.

Registration for the 2025 Winter Entrance Examination will close on November 14.


Local Events:

October 21: The National Wrestling Championship for youth (ages 16–18) and juniors (ages 19–20) will be held in Undurkhaan soum, Khentii aimag.
October 22: The National Wrestling Championship for youth and juniors will continue Undurkhaan soum, Khentii aimag.

October 23: The second phase of the 2025 military conscription will be organized in Sukhbaatar soum, Selenge aimag.
October 24: The National Wrestling Championship for youth and juniors will take place in Undurkhaan soum, Khentii aimag.

The “Mandal League” Volleyball Tournament among students and clubs of Kharaa regional secondary schools, named after the Governor of Mandal soum, Selenge aimag, will continue until October 23.

The National Autumn Tree Planting Day campaign will run in all aimags until October 26.

The “Cultural Space – Our Environment” campaign will continue in all aimags until November 3.

The national census of movable historical and cultural artifacts will continue in Khovd aimag until November 20.

 

Events Abroad:

October 21–23: The Mongolian National Mining Association, in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, will organize “Mongolia Day” in Sydney, Australia.
October 21–31: The Bahrain 2025
Asian Youth Games will be held in Manama, Bahrain.
October 23: The exhibition “Mongolians: A Journey Through Time” will open at the Rietberg Museum in Zurich.



October 24: The Asian Sport Stacking Championship will begin in Dalian, People’s Republic of China.
October 24–26: Mongolia will participate as a guest nation in the “Multicultural Foreign Residents Festival” in Changwon, Republic of Korea.
October 24–26: The play “Mongol Khan” will be staged in Nagoya, Japan.
