Foreign Minister presents NordArt Prize to sculptor A.Ochirbold

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On January 20, B. Battsetseg, Minister for Foreign Affairs, had a meeting with A.Ochirbold, a sculptor and an honored artist of Mongolia, who successfully participated in the NordArt-International Contemporary Arts Exhibition with his walk-in sculpture installation ‘Degree’ and became an awardee of the NordArt Prize 2019. At the meeting, the Minister presented the Prize sent by the exhibition’s organizing committee to sculptor A.Ochirbold.
Since 1999 the NordArt has established itself as one of the
largest exhibitions of contemporary art in Europe which takes place annually in
the summer months in the town of Büdelsdorf, Germany. Mongolian artists have
been participating in the NordArt since 2015.
His sculpture ‘Consciousness’ is in the sculpture park of
the UN headquarter in New York and monument ‘War horses’ in Moscow, Russia.
