German Ambassador visits German-Mongolian cooperation projects in Umnugobi

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Last week, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia Jörn Rosenberg and relevant officials of German-Mongolian development cooperation visited Umnugobi aimag see ongoing projects of GIZ, German development agency, on site.
Head of Sustainable Development-Partnership Council and Chairman of the Umnugobi aimag’s Citizens’ Representatives Khural Kh.Sugir and others welcomed the delegation and had a discussion on the implementation and outcomes of the projects as well as the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the local community and the economy.
The delegation headed by the Ambassador also visited the ‘Business Innovation & Growth (BIG)’ center, which is supported by GIZ and offers numerous support measures for local small and medium-sized enterprises. Afterward, a discussion on the current challenges arisen due to COVID-19 was held with local enterprisers.
The trip ended with a visit to Dalanzadgad Polytechnic College, which is involved in the vocational training program, co-financed by GIZ and Australian Government, and exchanged views with authorities and trainers of the college.
