Digital questionnaire to be conducted at traffic checkpoints

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar S.Amarsaikhan on February 17 met with International Organization for Migration (IOM)’s Programme Manager Victor Lutenco.
At the meeting, the IOM Mongolia Programme Manager proposed jointly conducting a digital questionnaire at traffic checkpoints in an effort to prevent the spread of covid-19, ensure preparedness, and take prompt actions in case the disease makes its way to Mongolia. He said IOM would encourage citizens to actively take part in the questionnaire during which information on preventive measures will be provided, asking the city government to support the effort.
Informing that the capital city authorities are taking actions at all levels to prevent the disease, Governor S.Amarsaikhan noted that the city government supports the initiative.
It was thus decided that a working group of the capital city government will be conducting IOM's questionnaire at traffic checkpoints and record the entry, exit, and plate numbers of cars crossing the checkpoints.
