Cyber security event takes place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Cyber security specialists’ and researchers’ event “MNSEC-2019” is being held at Shangri-La hotel today, October 4.


Cyber security specialists and researchers from six countries, including Mongolia have introduced their analyzes on recent international and domestic cyber-attacks, and shared safety precautions and methods during this event being organized by “Mongolian Cyber Emergency Response Team” (MNCERT/CC) NGO.


“Cyber security specialists are having advises and training on responding to cyber-attacks, using cyber-attack detection indicators, improving technical skills etc.” said D.Tuvshinbayar, Executive Director of MNCERT/CC. One of the workshops is "Ethical Hacking Competition” which is being held in the course of the event among high-school students.


Moreover, the competition “Kharuul Zangi” is being co-organized with “Nest Education” high-school this year. “30 teams of 170 teams who competed online in the first stage of the competition “Kharuul Zangi”  advanced to the second stage and the top-scored 10 teams are competing at the final stage of the competition which is being held today, during “MNSEC-2019” event.” said B.Gabit, Co-founder and Director of Innovation of “Nest Education” high-school. Participants of the event have also participated a short-term workshop visiting and completing missions on the booths Redteam, Blueteam, Packethacking, HardwareHacking.


“MNSEC-2019” event is being held for the 6th year. The organizer of the event “Mongolian Cyber Emergency Response Team” (MNCERT/CC) is a non-profit organization consists of specialists in Mongolian cyber-security sector.
